Unit #3:

Bus Topology

In the bus topology
the workstations are connected to a central cable called the bus (data bus).

What are the pros and cons of the bus network topology?

Bus networks are less costly because they use less cable

If the bus fails, the entire network fails.

Workstations connected to a bus can get congested resulting in an increase in the amount of time it takes to get a file.
